The Monsterpocalypse comes to Paris!

Man, I just love the idea of giant monsters battling it out around world-famous landmarks.
So here's the MonPoc Eiffel Tower map.

I checked Google Earth to see what the area was like and was pleased to see that there were areas with lots of trees for cover and a central, open part with the buildings in two rows, all close together. Good rampaging territory...

Naturally, The Eiffel Tower has its own abilities and I've included a building card and rubble counter:
Basically, once destroyed, your monster can grab bits of steel wreckage to use as a club when brawling. This grants 1 extra Bonus die for one attack - regardless of hit or miss. Then that bit is useless and your monster will need to run back and grab another bit. Feel free to pick up a girder in the middle of advancement - you don't need to start or stop next to the tower to grab a hunk of steel.
And there's the "Spire" skill too.

I've included a cut-out, do-it-yourself model of The Eiffel Tower. It's the one in my photos. You'll notice the base is about 3 squares wide - wider than standard MonPoc buildings but hey, this is the Eiffel Tower! It actually does have a very wide base in real life. It's pretty much the right size for the board - the tower is actually 320 metres tall - roughly 5 times taller than your average MonPoc monster!

Naturally you can find models of the Eiffel Tower on the web - eg. http://www.happymall.com/france/Metal.htm (current March 13 2011) You're aiming for about 6 inches high.

Recognized around the world as a symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower was built for the Paris World Exposition, held in 1889 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. Named after its designer, Gustave Eiffel, plans for this 320-meter tower and its steel structure and unconventional design encountered initial resistance from devotees of Paris's historic streetscape. Today, it is a designated World Heritage Site and one of the top sightseeing destinations in Paris. Until the Monsterpocalypse.
